smooth process of the examination.<\/strong> Depending on the type of ultrasound to be performed, the preparation may include specific instructions such as fasting, drinking water, or avoiding certain foods.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More specifically:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">For ultrasounds of the <strong>upper and lower abdomen, upper abdomen as well as individual organs of the upper abdomen (e.g., pancreas, liver, or kidneys), abdominal aorta and iliac artery triplex, renal artery triplex, splenopulmonary axis triplex, the following should be avoided three days before the examination:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legumes, dairy products, vegetables, carbonated drinks (sodas, beer, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Chewing gum<\/li>\n<li>Any food that you know causes bloating, gas, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>On the day of the examination, an 8-hour fast is required,<\/strong>during which you should not drink coffee or any other beverages such as chocolate, tea, juice, etc., but you may drink water.<br \/>\nIt is also recommended that your diet includes lean meats without fat, potatoes, pasta, and minimal vegetables, with slow and thorough chewing, as fast chewing can cause air swallowing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For ultrasounds of the lower abdomen, lower abdomen, kidneys, ureters, and bladder and the prostate, internal genital organs, uterus-ovaries, appendix,
