In the CT Scan Department of Mediterraneo First Care Santorini,<\/strong> all routine and specialized CT scans, coronary CT angiographies, and brain perfusion studies are conducted.<\/p>\n

Routine CT scans<\/strong><\/p>\n

Routine CT scans refer to those that cover large areas of the body (CT scans of the skull, neck, chest, upper and lower abdomen, joints, limbs). However, CT scans of specific areas or organs are also performed for better image analysis, using special techniques or contrast agents to highlight lesions that might not be adequately visible in the general scans of a region.<\/p>\n

For example, for the skull area, a CT of the brain, pituitary gland, cerebellopontine angle, petrous bones, skull base, nasal cavities - sinuses, orbits, splanchnocranium, parotid glands, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), etc., may be performed.
