It was with great success that the inauguration of the Mediterraneo First Care Santorini Polyclinic – Diagnostic Center took place on Friday, April 7, 2023, in Santorini.
It is a new standard integrated primary healthcare unit, the second one created by the Mediterraneo Healthcare Group, four years after the creation of Mediterraneo First Care polyclinic in Glyfada.
The blessing ceremony was performed by His Eminence Metropolitan of Thira, Amorgos, and the Islands, Amfilochios, while representatives from all local organizations also attended. The event continued with a speech from the Member of Parliament for the Cyclades, Mr. Ioannis Vroutsis, the Regional Governor, Mr. Charalambos Darzentas, and the Mayor of Santorini, Mr. Antonios Sigalas, who emphasized on the necessity of having such a facility on the beautiful island of Santorini.
The President of the Mediterraneo Healtcare Group, Mrs. Georgia Dragini, provided a historical overview from the inception of the idea for this new, exemplary primary healthcare unit of the Group to its implementation and completion, which was crowned with the inauguration ceremony on this day. She acknowledged the important individuals who contributed to this project throughout its journey and made it clear that the primary goal of this unit is to serve the residents of the island of Santorini, and secondly, its visitors.
The event was led in a pleasant atmosphere by the band “Les Au Revoir”, which musically enhanced the evening with influences from romantic composers of all eras, aiming to take us on a journey to various corners of the world.
